Memories!

I'm going to make this into a t-shirt. Who wants one?

Mellow OOUT!

We here at MegaDeadly like to mix it up for the most part. Here is some mellow Dub off a Nu Gruv comp called "Mi Selecta"
For some reason this song sounds like Farmer Dub if there is such a thing.

Easy Star All-Stars- Asylum Dub

Wreck Shop.

I'm at home and out of the corner of my eye "So You Think You Can Dance?" is on the TV. If anyone out there wants to put a show called "So You Think You Can Dj?" Holler at me. And when the judges need to give a Dj the Gas Face they can do it to "6 Million Ways to Die Choose One!!!!!!!!

P.S. FunkMaster Flex killed it back in the day on the Stretch and Bobito show. Check Stretch's blog

Play It Loud, Douchebag

When I was growing up I didn't know anyone that didn't listen to Dayglo Abortions. And by anyone, I mean anyone who was into stupid Canadian punk songs. Dayglo has been around since the year I was born - AND - they're still kickin' it.

Anyway, what rebellious teenager wouldn't want an album that included a recipe for chili made out of a ripe human foetus? Riiiight.

Dayglo Abortions - Bedtime Story

Lets go to the Mos Eisley Cantina, have a drink and listen to Figrin D'an and his Modal Nodes.

The central bar is a high-tech, if outdated, set-up capable of synthesizing virtually any known drink in the sector. The mixing computer knows 16,000 recipes, but of course, Chalmun the Wookiee proprietor does not keep all the required ingredients in stock. Damn!!!

There is a 7" out there with this section I ripped from the LP mega mix. I wish I had it.
Star Wars by Meco - Cantina Band

Disco Daze

All i wanna do is disco dance with you... seriously. This jam makes me wanna strap on my platforms and go for a strut. Plus - the intro could be cut up and looped. It's just that good...

91' Yall!

I'm loving coming across B-Side LP tracks that I never gave too much time to when I got the record. I guess you learn to appreciate things years later.

Chubb Rock- The Bad Boys

Cold Chillin'

I could never play this out because I never had a 12" if there is one. The clubs would always feed back. Booooo-Hooooo!
There are some great tracks on the Greatest Hits but this one stands out for me.

Roxanne Shante- Have a Nice Day

Basement Flavor

This First Priority Music Family Comp. It features the likes of Audio Two, MC Lyte and Positive K. But this cut by Alliance is nice like a Dela song and thats what I feel like posting right now. Stay tuned for some raw shit.

Alliance- Get on Down

B-side Remixes!

I love forgetting about B-Side remixes that you may not have ever played because you liked another track on the 12 better.
Digging around and finding shit is so fun. Can't wait to play this Throwdown Mix next time the right moment presents its self.

B-Side Winner. The stripped down beat at the end is butter.
Maestro Fresh Wes- Drop The Needle (Throwdown Club Mix)

M. fucking O. fucking P. Keep it Rugged!!!

This blog really cooled off after like a week or so of existence. Then I was checking out U-Tern's lasted post and realized I'm super lazy. So here we go...
I've liked M.O.P. since this shit came out. Period!

I don't know why M.O.P. would ever put a radio edit on any 12". This still bangs though.
M.O.P. -Downtown Swinga (Radio)
The other notable track on the double 12 is nice too.
M.O.P.- Rugged Neva Smoove (Primo Remix Street)

EightBall Records

This was my first House record. I found it at a thrift store a long time ago. This was before I knew what Eight Ball Records was. Straight up reason why I put it in my purchase pile back then. It ended up being pretty dope for the couple coins I paid for it. This track anyway.

The African Dream- All the Same Family
